Default Turbo car brake help

I'm to the point in my build where I need to order brakes for my car. It's a 99 ta hoping for 800 to 1000hp car. Looking at strange but can't decide if I should go single or dual caliper setup on the rear of the car.

Single unless you're going to be trying to make boost on the footbrake. Then it will help to hold it for you. If you are planning a transbrake, then go single.

I have a transbrake but I was not sure if I still needed dual calipers on the rear or if a single was good enough. The car also has the manual brake master cylinder already on it

What is your ET/MPH goal? Is this a track only car? Weight? The majority of street/strip cars will stop very well with a single rear caliper. The rear system does a limited amount of the braking. Weight transfers front on decel and it's easier to overpower the rear brakes/tires. If your MPH is high, say 150 and up, then it may be worth doing for some added insurance. Contact Strange or Wilwood and see what they think about your combo.

We have dual rear aerospace components brakes. Driver uses a foot brake to start building boost then once its in the second beam goes on the transbrake. We don't use a bumpbox.

The whole point of dual calipers on the rear is for when you can't use a transbrake.

If you have a brake and can use it, no need for dual calipers.

If it is track only, I'd go single caliper rears use your transbrake and a bumpbox, just thing of it as less chance of brake drag and more boost seeing as you can bang it on the chip as you bump in.... but that's just me
