best location for backpressure sensor
I thought pressure would be the same across the board if the turbo was the restriction. But it wasn't in my case.
I went from the #1 runner seeing 2:1 at 20lbs to tapping the turbo housing and seeing 1.5:1 on the same setup @ 21lbs.
MS3 has a smooth option that I maxed but it was still pretty jagged data. Same exact sensor and fitting's/line I used to tap the turbo housing and my signal is much cleaner.
Here is a data log with it tapped at the #1 runner. (which I guess is a poor choice). Bottom white line labeled fuel pressure is the back pressure.

Tapped at the scroll you can see the same line is almost linear. Trans let go first pass since changing location to the housing. So I don't have a long decent pull to compare yet.

I log fuel pressure using the PCM oil pressure input. Its quite lumpy. Rather surprised me.
But at the shop we've done a few cars that use the Innovate setups that log fuel pressure, and they are all over the map as well. one would think fuel pressure would be more smooth.
Nice setup Doug. I haven't seen many photos of it.

My next move was to try changing the sample rate.
Yes, it's a hpt log file. I can post up some pics and screenshots of how I set it up. It was actually kinda tricky to get hptuners to differentiate between two of the same sensors (I use one for fuel)
