Turbo rebuild recommendations
Turbo rebuild recommendations I have to have my turbo rebuilt and was suggested with going with a 102mm exhaust wheel. My current turbo is a 88/84 on a 1.10a/r. How much slower would it spool with that big of an exhaust wheel? Especially on the street. Just seeking advise. Or would a 96mm exhaust wheel be better.

My current turbo the bearings went bad and the compressor wheel is chattering off the cover so it needs to go in anyway. So when I called Forced inductions they think part of the reason it went out was to much back pressure with the small exhaust wheel do I was recommended a 102mm wheel as well as the rebuild.
Im not sure. We do buy all of our turbos from the shop from him and he hasn't steered us wrong on any of those set ups so if he wants a 102 I'll put a 102 in it and leave my 1.10 a/r housing to help with spool. I got a boost leash too and that seems to help a lot with spool.
