Default borg cast vs billit spool .

anyone ever do a cast to billit wheel swap and get some real back to back spool up data. my s480 spools pretty nice but a faster spool is always good. my current turbo is a 480 cast compresser wheel with a race cover . 83 turbine with a 1.25 t4 housing. I don't really need a 80 mm on the front I'm sure a 75 mm billit will do all my small turbine will on a 6.0 . I called forced inductions and they can machine the cover and add an etr billit 80 wheel and re balance it for $350.00. but if there is little to no change there is no reason to touch it. thanks in advance.

I don't have anything to add as far as comparison, but iat's most likely would be cooler. I'm running the billet wheel on the cast cover and looking to upgrade to the race cover myself

Im running a billet s480. When i spoke with jose he said the billet wheel moved the turbo up into the 1200hp range. Ive never ran a cast wheel to compare it to. On my stock 5.3 it starts making positive pressure around 3400.

Back to back tests.... Cast 80 versus Billet 80 with race cover....

Cast 80... 1042 at 24 psi with the gate pinned shut
billet 80... 1289 At 29 psi with the gate pinned shut.
I believe that was the older Billet S480 wheel too. The newer ones have larger exducers.

What rpm does your current setup start to build boost?
