I highly doubt that an ebay 6+6 cast wheel 80mm is going to make 1200 HP.

A guy on here made 800 at the wheels with that turbo through a TH400 and a 9" on 16lbs on a SBE 6.0 . Might not make 1200 FWHP, but it should do a good bit better than 1000 at the motor on more boost. Same car ran mid 9s at 140+ on that same 800 whp tune at 3600 lbs. Pretty legit unit for 600 bucks IMHO.

They flow more than the typical t3 ebay stuff by far. Also loud (and likely laggy) by comparison to a gt35... but will make more power per pound and are internally gated. If you look around you can find some that I'm told have a true 60+mm compressor. Usually labeled as "super drag" like this...

I’ve never ordered one and going by the picture I’d guess they are the typical 54mm and the guys don’t know how to measure it correctly. U can always return it though if it’s not a true 60mm since the AD claims it is. Might want to ask the seller first before purchasing. I did and they claimed “it’s a new more bigger wheel for performances”. So…

Thats a good find, I would love to be able to find a single that was big enough for a mild 4.8/5.3 build that has a internal gate..... makes the install much cleaner. Now if someone would just knock off the EFR's with the built in BOV we would be set.

Edit..... I see this lists a bigger compressor wheel

Pretty sure they are measuring the Id of the surge inlet... But if you order it you can always send it back for a full refund or work out a discount with the seller for crappy info in their AD. Usually when I ask the ebay seller they don't have a clue because they are just importing the part.

For $640 shipped you can buy a real S475 turbo that will stomp that sucker I'd think? Maybe not, be a cool comparison.

How about a pair of these with the stainless V-band housing? What A/R for a 5.3 at 8-10psi? How will they spool compared to the singles discussed above?

Look fancy... but you can get a GT3582 for well under $200 shipped. Pretty much the same thing. (minus the cool housing). Wonder if they'd let you buy just the housing.

Might be a good comparo, or the T6 turbine blow the china t4 away ! I bought mine because I wanted a bigger turbine than the little china turbos, or a lot of the other somewhat affordable mainstream T4s. I don't have room for a borg T6 and that's the only way BW compares in price to the CX 80/77.5.
I also wanted the ball bearing deal too. I just saw where CX is offering my same turbo with a T6 exhaust now, and the also have the GTXish 11 blade 80mm compressor wheel avail for the same unit.
VS came out with the 77/83 and 88/83 about a month after I bought the CX 80/77.5. I would have looked at them hard, if they had been out there.

Have you ran it yet? I was interested in this turbo as well but have heard bad things about the ball bearing china variants...I know SLOWSEDAN ran one of them (maybe not that exact one, might have been the on3 88mm billet BB or something) and it failed after like 1000 miles. I have read a few others having failures with low miles as well.

There are a few guys that have been running that turbo for a while. The thread on the third gen I spoke of is in the dyno section. Its under CX Racing GT45R LQ4 800 rwhp . Sorry, I am not computer literate enough to drag the thread over here .

You yourself was the first person to suggest a single from an earlier build, thus opening the possibility for a single instead. In fact , you have asked so many questions on this thread that I mistakenly thought you were the OP . the "original poster" has not even posted since his opening post, so is it open for conversation on affordable power ? I vote that we let the thread evolve like most open question types do on this forum. My post was a link (kinda) for anyone joining the conversation to show the CX 80/77.5 can make some pretty serious power, incase they were looking for suggestions.
