Default LSA Blower on an LQ4 6.0

Looking into putting an LSA blower on my 6.0. It's in a 1998 trans am. So it hasn't been done a lot I don't think. I will get the brackets to mount it and fuel rails. But other than that. I don't know where to start. Any advice at all is welcome

I have read that it doesn't fit under the cowl, I don't know that for a fact but you might want to look into it. They are based on corvette/cts-v belt spacing but there are other aftermarket options. I put one on a 2000 S10- LY6 6.0 and used GMPP LSA accessory drive kit. For fuel I'm going with all aftermarket fuel system with a boost referenced regulator but you can probably use your stock setup with a boost a pump.

I have a fuel regulator. So I'm not worried about that. I know I'll have to make modifications to the hood and or bottom of the windshield. I'm mostly worried about the belt system. Just getting it all lined up might be difficult. Especially if I put different pulleys on.

I've been looking into this lately for my Silverado. So I've got a good idea what all the main parts will take.

I don't know that you'll be able to fit one in a 4th gen, but I'd be interested to see how much trimming of the cowl it will take.

Best bet for belt drive would be stock LSA stuff. It keeps the alternator and compressor in about the same spot, so hopefully k member clearance wouldn't be a problem.

The Chevy Performance kit is $900. I priced all of these parts individually and it was around $1700, so it's great they sell the kit so much cheaper.

The AC kit is another $324

The only things not included in those kits are the balancer and water pump.

There are bracket kits to use a truck balancer and one belt. You'd need a truck balancer, water pump, ps pump, and alternator. The kit provides the rest. You can use the truck AC compressor with this kit.

It's kinda ugly but cheaper than the LSA stuff, and just looking at a 4th gen engine bay, looks like it would probably fit.

I'll look into that. Thank you. I have seen a few people delete the ps pump and it almost lines up perfectly. But then I don't know what belt I would need or if it's all the same size belt
