Default My incon on the road soon

To keep on topic, I think my Incons are setup with 7-8psi actuators. What did they normally come with?

The real reason I posted is that the inspector just called (8 pm?) and is coming to insect my car tomorrow! If all goes well, I'll have a title in one week and can tag/insure/drive!!!! May be just in time for July 4th.Now i gotta save more money to get it painted but I'll be happy to drive my mulitcolored car I'll post some pics if it passes. Not done with it yet but it is driveable. I'll be the only one excited to spend 30bux for a fillup

They came with whatever actuators you wanted. I have the 3-5 psi actuators, but I think most of them came with the 5-7 psi actuators. Get the number of them one of us probably still has the part number to boost range list.

well it passed...get a title in 7-10 days he said (I'm hoping sooner) Kept car in 1st gear around neighborhood and nailed it up until 5k.....no tire smoke Guess I got a lot of tuning to do. I figured a 3000 stall would do something but we will see.

The 3-5 will go up to about 5.5 psi of course they start opening at like 2 psi or less. I block the signal to the actuator until 9 psi and then they suddenly open.

Grate to here that you’re just about on the road.

Do me a favor, pull off your intake, ‘butt pipe’ tube and get a mirror and look in and try to get a look around the bend. When I cut mine to weld the b.o.v. on, lo and behold I found a big piece of leftover alum. slag in the fat part of the pipe dangling by a thread, ready to brake off and fly into my motor. This was no small piece either, had to be a few grams of aluminum easy. It’s about 1 ¼ long. It would have been hard to trace down what the f. blew up the motor if that went in.
Take a look inside the butt pipe – ALL INCON USERE-

good call. The maf screen should catch it tho. I will look today after work. I'm also about to switch over to a manual ball/spring boost controller until I get the cash for the eboost.

Cablebandit - I installled a ready made ball/spring unit last year and have got it set about 10 psi, and think there is 2-4 psi more left in it. I ran 100 octane fuel. like you, switched over to alky & 93 octane. works great but need to reset base f.p. and retune for max power.

I've changed my mind on the concept of dial-a-boost. Ideaaly you'll need to retune for each change, dyno session and edit pgm. so I'm staying with the low tech controller.

so far, 10 psi is more than enough on the street and still haven't been to the track. Punching it from 50 in third gear is unreal

BTW, thanks for the tip on tapping into the fuel pump circut - it IS the gray wire, circiut #120. good diagram in the helms manual.

Dave this was from Mightymouse

"i run dfi so my boost amount determines my timing curve and my a/f ratio."

i have my gate pressures at 6psi, my obs at 20, and my sensitivity at 25.
set point one is at 40 which gives about 14.5 psi, 2 is at 50 which is just over 16 psi, and set point three is nearly 19 psi

no if someone can explane dfi to me

ttsz my boost controller is turbosmart and the ecm is dfi from accel, they are separate things.
dave above is right that using the factory computer you will need to retune the pe table for any boost increases if you want it perfect and if you are pegging the maf.
