Speed density vs MAF tuning I was trying to find out what people are doing on their turbo ls engines? and what are the advantages and drawbacks to speed density or maf tunes only or should they tune it with maf and have the speed density as a backup?
Also if I go with a speed density only how do you convert from the maf setup to the speed density? I know you need a temp sensor and a map sensor.

Your gonna get many different answers. Do a search here and on hptuners forum. Lots to read.
Personally, for forced induction **** that gets raced.....open loop speed density is the only way to go. I don't need a computer over riding what I want and telling the ignition/fueling what to do. I know what I want it to do and thats why I tuned it.

Do a google search. A ton of info on this everywhere... MAF is only good to like 550hp. After that you need speed density. My turbo car is tuned speed density and I like it. My 408 car is tuned with maf and they both run about the same.
I used a maf up to 750rwhp just fine but I did some upgrades a couple of years ago and switched to speed density. The car drives a lot better like that so I would recommend it.
