GTX5588s gen 1. 60psi with only 16* of lead so yes a ton to go. Dave said the gen2s are at his shop now. Needs 70psi and some aggressive tuning to run down far into the 3.80s. Oh and we have bullet number two in process...Noonan billet block with our v2 billet heads.
Went with a 9.75" deck on the Noonan, and I have heard the gen2s are a big time upgrade. This one will prob be just over 400ci just a little more stroke with the taller deck height to support it. Its amazing how well this little engine climbs up on the boost so fast now.

Nice, I figured you guys went with a taller deck height with the billet block. I personally feel that 420" is about perfect with the Pro mod 88's. I have been wanting to do a 9.750" deck set-up with a 3.900" stroke, 6.550" rod and a 4.140" bore for right at 420". Would still leave a 1.250" CH so the piston would be plenty strong as well. I like the short stroke long rod better than the standard 4.000" stroke and 6.125" rod stuff that is so common.
Are you using a dump valve to drop converter pressure on the trans brake so it comes up on the RPM's faster?
I have also heard some great things about the new Garrett's, hopefully you guys can get it up in the 190-192mph range with some added timing and the new turbos.
No dump valve, using Protorque's newest bolt together billet converter. I agree it would be nice to go close to 195 so we have a chance on marginal tracks. I doubt we will see many 1.00 60fts with NMCA RW prep.
Surprised to see that you're not running a dump valve and that it spools so well at 400" with twin 88's. Converters have come so far in the last 5 years it is quite incredible.
