(Picture attached) Is this the correct routing of vacuum lines?
I've routed my manual boost controller like that and it was very inconsistent. I'd run the bottom port of the WG directly from the turbo, or, if you want a true manifold pressure reading, take it from there instead.
The way you have that plumbed now, your boost controller will be controlled backwards. meaning, you'll need it set it at "Max Pressure" to get the WG spring pressure with the lowest boost setting.
The best way to route that controller is to the top of the WG. Then, you can slightly adjust little by little from there without taking a risk of overboosting your engine.
I blew up my last motor on the dyno because my manual BC was plumbed this way. I should have ran it to the top of the WG instead.
Anyways; my most recent image shows the correct way to install a manual boost controller (according to Tial and Hallman). The only thing you could do differently is use the intake manifold or intercooler plumbing as a source prior to the boost controller.
I have no idea what that first diagram is showing, besides how NOT to do it lol. I guess the vacuum tree thing just didn’t make sense to me.
