Hope he gets more billets in, if i get a 7875 I'd like to have billet if I can. Thats what I was thinking with the 88 having a 83 exhaust side. I could always run nitrous if need be to aid in spooling. Lol its all good, I just want to get as much info as I can before I order one so I dont have to upgrade.
I don't think the 88 was laggy at all on a 5.3, certainly didn't need nitrous to spool it. The 5.3 will take everything that 88 can dish out and then some so if you just want more power then I'd spray the nitrous all the way down the track. ~25-30psi and a 125 hit should make for a decently quick car!

Well that's cool. If he gets more billet 7875s in then I guess I'll get one of those if not the 88mm. I would have thought the 7783 would make more power with the bigger exhaust wheel. Or do you think the billet 7875 make more power just because it's billet?

Awesome. I definitely want to make some good power. Not worried about street manors or roll racing. Digs or nothing and the transbrake/2step should build boost decent I think. So did you run the 88 on a 5.3?

I was told the billet wheel is completely redesigned, I was surprised as well. Believe I was quoted 975 crank ho for the billet 78/75 and 900 for 77/83

I ran the 88/83 on a junkyard 5.3 without complaint. I could easily build 10+ psi on foot brake and ran pretty good, went 9.5 in a 4000lb sedan. I could have pushed it a little harder but I changed my setup instead.

Oh wow I didn't expect that, guess billet makes a big difference. Spools up quick I take it?

You know what kind of power you think made? What size hot side, 2"? I'm really torn between the 78 and 88. The 88 would be nice in case I moved to a 6.0 in the future.

Dunno, whatever hp it takes to move 4000lbs to 145MPH in the 1/4. Stock manifolds, 2" crossover, 4" downpipe. If you want to go fast then the 88/83 will make more jams then the 78/75 for sure.

Ya the precision 7675 went 139 on a lot more boost so I don't think the 84/75 is bad at all. Precision 46mm at 15 PSI.

spool ls very fast, i ran 11.8's on motor with 22% converter slip, this thing with the same converter on 5# and 13* is much faster. I should be getting my new ptc converter and then I'm turning it up to 15#, I can't wait.

terrible video I know

Damn, seemed like it was about to roll the F out! I believe I've about made up my mind. That 88mm sounds like a beast!

SLOW SEDAN - Didn't you say you were running the On3 88 and not the VS? And you ran the billet/BB option and it crapped out very shortly after install? Or was this someone else? I would like to buy the billet/BB down the road from On3 since VS doesnt offer it, but I have heard bad reviews from someone, somewhere in the past...

I've used various On3 turbos and didn't have any issues with them. I don't see a reason for the ball bearing option on this turbo unless you just like wasting money.
