Any new info? I have only got about 10 miles on my set up so far. Hoping to see what it will do over the weekend.

I decided to replace the turbos with some 6662s from the same place i got the 7268s. they should be here monday. I could have made the 72s work in a drag strip atmosphere but i wont go to the track more than a couple times so i decided to get some smaller turbos, and then get a converter to match.

on the IC subject, once i calibrated the pressure sensor it looks like the pressure drop wasnt as bad as i thought. i did order two k-type thermocouples that i will install at the in and out of the ic and get some data on that to post.
i had a smaller w/a ic with a banshee radiator and 3 gal tank on my s10 and that system couldnt keep up on the street so this time i have a bigger ic with no tank except a full size engine radiator and im very curious to see how it all works. If it ends up not being enough im probably just going to go with a big a/a

I used one of these with a 1/2 gallon GT500 resevoir and pump + the same cooler as you:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Roush-Fo...5YxAE4&vxp=mtr

I would see 9F degree temp rise on a 2500-8500rpm 4th gear dyno pull. I ran a closed system with no ice and would only see IATs over 100F if I let the car heat soak and then beat on it.

I looked at those 6662's as well. My car with 0.81 A/R 7268's makes 7-8psi pretty easy. Haven't really gone any more than that yet. Hopefully turn it up tonight.

the 4.8 is really the killer for me and im simply too lazy to slam in a new crank and rods.
please share your results, i plan to post up when my turbos land here in a couple days.
i think i could make these 72s do the work at the track but i want something funner driving around.

Not much data to report just yet. However I did make a few pulls last night. Still needs lots of tweaking. But rolling into it from 2nd gear (TH400), motor went from 3800 to 5000 rpm in 1.8s and went from 1 to 10psi. Holds 10 psi pretty steady. No boost controller hooked up yet, just a hose from each compressor to the bottom WG port.

So far I am having pretty good luck with the 72s. Yeah that are a little lazy. It makes positive pressure as soon as I got WOT but they are spooled up till close too 5000rpm. I was able to footbrake about 3000rpm and 1psi on bald drag radials with no 2 step or anything before the rear wheels started to spin. I am pretty confident that on the 2 step at a track I could leave on a few psi no problem, my car doesn't have a trans brake.

Seen 16-17psi so far, when the power comes on its pretty linear and just keeps pulling. Only revved it to 6800 so far. On 20-22 psi it should really move.

I put the rev9 66/62s on mine and they are a lot better. it goes positive immediately and boost ramps in faster. i was seeing 5psi about 600rpm sooner. in general it is much much better to drive around.
unfortunatly i also got a little greedy and careless and ventilated a piston. i have a 06 5.3 on the way so the plus side is i will have back to back data with nothing but stroke changed. im going to reuse the heads, cam, block, and everything else, the only thing changing is the rotating assm.

I use this cooler

http://m.ebay.com/itm/151041847132

And it looks identical to the cooler you posted, and probably is the exact same one

I can only say the is no way you have that kind of pressure drop, zero

Unless you have a shop rag in there

My charge pipe goes all the way from the front of the car to the back, then forward again and I only have just over 1psi of drop from compressor to plenum at 7500rpm,20psi+

With 4lb springs I make 24psi of boost on 18psi dome

How did you hurt a piston? Were the 66-62's the same physical size?

later in the thread i posted that once i calibrated the pressure sensors to each other there was very little drop. i started with poor data.
how big are your charge pipes?
thank you for the data, that is exactly the kind of feedback i was hoping for with this thread.

too much timing. made a couple minor goofs when moving my timing table and timing boost tables around.

Ah ok, good to hear

Charge pipe is 3"

I monitor pre and post cooler temps. Here is just water, it's hitting 22psi when it gets ramped in here

It will hold around 90 on a full track pass with ice
