Default Wastegate position and exhaust

Getting my hotside tacked together, i think the wastegate will be fine, but can i dump back into the exhaust? Ive searched, some say yes some say it depends? The combination is a 408 twin 6766, 3" down pipes. Was going to T into down pipe with wastegate exhaust, wanted some opinions before i start cutting holes

I have a similar set up, but I wye'd it back in. seems like it'd be better for flow or whatever. i'm not an engineer but it made sense in my little fabricator brain.

Looks good! I was thinking the same thing, if the flow is in the same direction exhaust pressure is less likely to open the wastegate. its out of pure laziness that i want to T it in, ill have to order some 60*s Lol
