Cam comparison question for turbo 346
The current cam is a x-er grind, 228/232 .588/.595 114LSA/114ICL
Plan is SBE LS1, ls6 intake, prc stage 1 799s, on3 78/75, m6, 3.73 gearing, E85, 700rwhp goal.
Would I be leaving anything significant on the table not changing the cam out for something like the LJMS/BTR stage 2 turbo cam, the tick perf stage 2 V2 LS1 cam, or a custom grind? Just trying to plan and budget the build. Thanks gang
Avon Gear has been supplying timing sets for many years, they were among the first AND they have the STRONGEST single Chain
Their Billet sprockets are American made with good heat treat.
The cost is very fair for an "indexed" crank sprocket set.
I too agree with the 110 C/L for your fitted cam.
NOW you are "retarded" from a Split Overlap Index, not good for Turbo.
Lance
Spools quick and lopes hard enough for the car to rock side to side when idling lol.
I ran this cam for about a year N/A before going turbo, had good mid range and was still fun to drive and performed well.
I'd install the a turbo cam even if its N/A for now, but that's just me.
Just thought I'd share a real world example.
