Default Cam bering

2000 4.8 was told 140000 miles, took apart for a stock rebuild, found all cam bearings only running on bottom 1/3 of bering, top 2/3 rough and stained with oil (won't wipe off), motor looks good otherwise, is this normal, I was going to run them but don't like what I'm seeing. I never heard it run, and bottom of cam bearings not ate up.

Sounds like the ones I tore apart, some run them, I am kind of **** about them, and their cheap, so I replace them.

My 6.0 was bought with 0 oil pressure...Tore apart for a rebuild, #3 cam bearing shot and out of bore. Other than that, all was perfect.
Checked bore and was still good....rebuilt and doing good.

I would replace them all just for piece of mind as stated above.

If you check your cam bearings, you're going to have bad cam bearings.
I just do my best to avoid looking at them. I sleep better at night.
