FI Interchiller isn't the only provider of this type of cooler with complaints.

Well I guess it all depends on air intake temps, size of coolant tank, size of intercooler core etc... if AIT 1 are really high, 160-170 * and your intercooler is on the small side, it's going to heat the water faster than you can cool it.

Things are starting to look promising. Snapshot while stopping for gas after about 20 mins on highway. Water temps were about 39*. IAT1's were between 120-130*. IAT2's Still about 10-20* off of where it should be. Although my setup is a bit different than the normal LSA Gen 2 V, I expect to have water temps/IAT2's right there with the blower setups. Snapshot shows ideal conditions, with good airflow in/out of engine bay. Temps go up at idle or if engine bay gets heatsoaked.

Chillers aren't magic. There are trade offs and required tweaks to get them working well. Car isn't ready yet for WOT pulls and I am still working on some heat mitigation stuff. Will report more in a couple of weeks.

Oh yeah: be wary of SUPER low IAT2 temps/frosted line advertisements. There are ways to "doctor" things up to make the results seem better than advertised.

At the end of the day, given the complexity and cost of trick A2W intake manifold ($3,500) and Chiller ($1,700), I probably would go back to A2A and meth, especially since I will be running E85.

Is this a track only sort of deal?

What is the benefit over something simple like spraying the IC core with CO2 or nitrous? Or strapping a brick of dry ice to the core?

Much simpler. Chiller just makes cold fluid. The equivalent to icing down trunk tank without the ice.
