If I remember you are footbraking. Are you building boost on the 2 step while in the first bulb then pumping brakes to get into the second bulb?

Haha. Those are my exact settings now and they are working. Haven't had to the track yet to set up 2 step at 3400 but at 3k in my driveway it made 6.2 psi in 4 sec. thanks again.

Glad that it's working for you. I didn't play with mine a whole lot last year and this was allowing me to dip into the 1.3X 60' range so I left it. I am going to try to make a little more this year if I ever get the damn car running.

I'm running whatever pads came with my Brakemotive rotor/pad package 5 years ago. I'm not sure if they are ceramic or metallic.

Put a good pad up front and organic on the back. I like the EBC yellow or HAWK HP+ both have slowed me down from 160ish easy on factory discs and calipers.

Also the lower you drop your soft limit zone... the harder the cut and better it works IMO. (think it's limited to 100? maybe 50?) I dunno I lowered as much as I could.

Default AFR with Two Step Timing Retard

Hi GSX and ALL, A word of caution : When the timing is retarded (- xx) you should make the fuel LESS RICH or the EGT's will become VERY HIGH melting the Pistons, EX valves, and Spark plugs.

The chance to melt a Turbine Wheel is possible.

I suggest fitting an EGT Gauge just in front of the Snail.

When the AFR is correct, you WILL make more MAP.

Lance

So I guess there is no way to retard the timing like this, with a factory ecm, is there?

Re did my hotside with 2" pipe to help aid in spooling. Not ideal hotside but seems to work well. Before the most I could get was 6 psi on footbrake only change was 2" hotside and new dei titanium wrap. With a quick 2 step in driveway I was able to shoot up to 8psi at 3k fairly quick.

are you full throttle on the 2 step in the first beam or just enough throttle to activate the 2 step then you pump the brakes and once youre in the second beam you go WOT?

i tried doing that method with my car but once i tried to pump the brakes it started to spin and drag the front tires. of course i was on the street.

Also is ur 2 step on the brake or a button? Right now I have it on a button but having a difficult time telling my brain to release the brake and button at the same time lol. Maybe I just need more practice.

I'm WOT on the 2-step, pump the brakes, and light the 2nd bulb. I've never had the rear tires spin on me but I have the fronts get pushed a little bit but thankfully the light turned green before it pushed me out of the beams.

Mine is set up on a button on the shifter. I have to release the brake and button at the same time as well. I had trouble with it my first outing last year and would hold the 2-step button through the 60', LOL. I have it down pretty good now though.

Same here 2 step button on a cord and had issues myself launching and letting go of button. Lol. To add to all this chaos I build boost in 2nd gear while holding 2 step button and mashing gas and brake. Have to release 2 step, brake , and bump into 1 st gear all at once. Lol. Let the minds be blown hahahaha
