No it needs to be hooked up to a vacuum source.

I know most tie into brake booster line or manifold coming off back of manifold.

I was asking to see if i could hook up to different spot. I posted in the boosted forums.

Sorry I have a VAC block installed that's connected to my FAST 102 intake vacuum port.

My thought was since you mentioned a vac block is to run this line to that Vac block.

Now the question I have is if I do that does it hinder the performance etc?

I have a Hobbs switch, and also Boost gauge already connected to the Vacuum block

Hook it up to your vacuum manifold block. I have a boost gauge, hobbs switch, bypass valve, meth injection and HVAC controls all hooked up to a manifold block. No problems with any of these systems working.

i made a vacuum block , well my grandfather did , we cut the hose from the back of the intake to the brake booster and he put in a copper pipe and two fittings on it , one for my boost gauge and one for the big red bov. No one makes one with the correct size so thats why copper was used to keep it as small of a restriction as possible.
