New PB, met the 150 goal!
So tried it this eve at my home track that never preps.
They prepped tonight.
First pass 9.29 @ 146. 15psi in low, 18 from 2nd on.
Second pass turned up boost in low by 1 and 2 from 2nd on to 20.
9.2 @ 147......hmm, not enough % on the controller in second.
So cranked it up some more, it was hooking in low, so left that alone.....
9.09 @ 151.
1.37 60 carrying the wheels for 30 feet.
BTW, this is at my home track that I bitch about constantly.
Sweet!
I think the 5.3 has an 8 in it!

Ha!
It was dead fat, high nines AFR, and there was a dropout in fuel pressure at the top of second I need to figure out.
Kept me from trying another pass.
They didn't notice the 150 and no chute.....
if you are that rich on e85 it is slowing you up quite a bit. mine ran 10.24 at 129 mph 10.0 afr so I pulled some fuel and it ran 9.87 at 141 10.8 afr. no other changes. and it likes 11.1 to 11.4 afr.
if you lean it out you might have to pull some boost back to get your 8. good luck.

I just got my chute on too. Not that bad to do and it sure does save on the brakes! Lol
I've re-tweaked the VE table which was all a guess above 21 psi as I've not been that high in boost before. That was filthy rich.
I'll for sure turn the boost back down and sneak back up on it.
I'm targeting 11.2:1.....big oops there. IDC was 99% even that rich, so I'll gain some headroom.
When everything is happy, I'll target 11.5.
A weird thing happened with fuel pressure top of second gear. It dropped 10psi then came right back after the shift. My guess is the second pump somehow shut off.......then came back on. I'll investigate.
24 psi from 2nd on. I'm quite happy with the EBoost 2 now that I know how to operate it! I put two micro switches on my shifter which is a B&M pro stick. It's not a ratchet shifter. One triggers when in low gear the other senses the shift to second.
I'd have had my 8 if I would have added boost in low gear, it was dead hooking. But my review of the log had me spooked, so better to be safe than sorry.
The track was better, but I had also stiffened the front shocks even more.....and gave a half turn of preload to the pass side CalTrac bar because the car had been going right on every launch.
Phooey on my buddies who think they have superior suspension setups. I honestly think with more launch boost (I was leaving on 7psi) and more boost in first gear I can stand this thing on the bumper.
FWIW, the IAT were 130, at 24 psi. Before they were 180+ at 21 psi. So good news there. Thanks ETS!
Forced Ind....it's a 5.3 with forged rods and pistons from LJMS. Martin Smallwood cam. Edelbrock ProFlow. 799 heads.
See what happens next weekend under more normal track conditions.

2013 I think, right after I lost my job of 37 years.
I'm 62 now......old and slow.
