Default Boosted 454 LSX?

I've seen some articles about shops that built boosted 454 LSX's Both Turbo and Blown my question is how? I can't even seem to find turbo pistons for that bore size. Aren't the walls too thin on the LSX 454 block to handle boost since it is a big bore? These shops aren't pushing light boost some of them are big turbo's and big blowers. I know there's some 427 guys running boost but 454? I thought that was strictly N/A at that point.

Most piston companies worth a damn will custom make you pistons. There are dudes that like the 427 for cylinder wal there are also 454 guys going boosted as well. I guess it depends how much power.

Why risk having problems over boring the block? 427 is plenty of cubes, especially if your going turbo. I'm running a427 lsx with twin 76/82 bw and made 1500 wheel(spinning on the dyno) at 24 psi. I could probably make 1800 if I maxed it. Strength would be more of a priority over a few extra cubes IMO
