Do SC cars need a waste gate (blow off valve)? Or at what PSI of boost should you use one? i.e. ok not to have one with 6# but a must with 10#. Thanks all,

Supercharged cars are regulated by pulley size so no wastegate is necessary, but centrifugal superchargers usualy use a bypass valve to vent the boost if the throttle gets snapped closed at high rpm to keep the blower from being damaged.
