Compressor Surge w/ BOV?
It was definitely more noticeable since at the time I wasn't running an air filter because I was in Mexico. ; )
I thought this was odd since I'm using a Tial BOV after the I/C and its plumbed correctly.
Is it possible to still get some compressor surge with the use of a BOV or is it just the BOV fluttering?
Is this something I should be concerned with?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Its a Tial 40mm BV50 BOV btw, different spring and how do you know which spring to use?
Edit:
I never knew this was even something you had to do!
So according to the chart below its based off manifold vacuum, so if the spring it too stiff it won't open under vacuum?

I laid it on the ground and with a hammer handle and all my body weight pushing on the valve I couldn't open it.
I popped it with another hammer and it finally opened, I hate to say but it has probably been this way the entire time its been on the car smh.
I opened it up and it was very clean inside and there was no corrosion or anything so I think the o-ring seal was just really stuck which isn't too surprising since it was purchased as a used part.
I lubed the valve guide and o-ring, cleaned it up really good and checked that it had the correct white spring and reinstalled it.
The valve is closed during idle and when throttle is applied and released it opens and then closes so I think I'm in good shape.
Thanks for the help 01ssreda4 and sbcgenII!!
