The block is amazing clean cast and machined. It could be run as is, but that is not how I roll.

Time for an update. The project is coming along nicely and is about ready to dyno. I had to abandon the intercooler as there is just no way to get it in my chassis without cutting the car all up, which I don't want to do.

I’ve been following speed tigger builds since the sbe days and you posting in the carb section. I loved how clean the car was and the engine/trans combo was always well thought out. Best of luck on the new combo!

I was able to fit a 3" IC'er in the front of my 65 Buick, but anything thicker would have
been into serious cutting. There might have been room to stuff an air to water in there
somewhere, but never tried.

I fully intended to fit one in there, but then I heard so many blow through E85 success stories that I decided to keep it simple.
