So I woke up this morning with no plans as usual, no rain... so I figured why not go to my local 1/8th mile. Went with a full tank and left the line just like you would at a stop light, and made the hit about 80ft out. Just wanted to go down the track without breaking. And yes the 60ft looks crazy, but it's from the easy leave....it didn't spin. What's odd is, this pass was hot off the street with no cool down. The next pass had a slower trap with the same easy leave.... but with a long cool down. This car likes the heat it seems.

If you think that's all it's got....I've got news for you. And just so you know...im still on the stock rear which is one of the reasons I ran then car with kid gloves on. And for the bottom end comment....you don't make power with forged parts, it makes the powerplant reliable. And lastly, I know and understand about hot lapping. If you notice, I said the car was faster with it being hot vs cool. Once the drivetrain is finished I will be leaving in boost off the transbrake....instead of off idle as I was today. Leaving with 8-10psi will make quite the difference.

You don't need all that boost to leave off the line.
Leaving at 2000 rpm and 3 psi. Will get you well in the 1.5 60 foot range, and it's a very soft hit on the 10 bolt.
2400 rpm and about 4 psi. You can get in the 1.4x.
3000 rpm and about 5 psi you can get in the low 1.3x.
As far as thinking that's all you got. Surely I'd hope your under 12 psi still.

All that matters is that he's happy with the car so whateve's. Until he gets a rear in the car he may as well work on other aspects of the car, like the MPH.
OP, thats a hell of a MPH. I know what its like when you can't give it the beans on the launch. Once you get that rearend in there and leave on full tilt, it'll run quite the number.

All I was looking to do this morning was to go down the track and just see if the thing would break 110 mph and still drive home under its own power. And I'll go ahead and say it, yes the car is still slow. The point of this thread wasn't to brag about setting the track on fire. The car will continue to be slow until I get my finances to where im comfortable with throwing big money into the suspension, as well as rear end. At that point I will launch the car and start posting up real ET..as well as real traps. 01z28.... if you seen how easy I was leaving the tree, the slow time and trap would make more sense.

Nice runs man. Get a good rear axle in it and some traction... it'll fly.
I did it the other way around, setting all my car up first to hold 1000hp, then the turbo motor will go in.
Either ways end up working the same.

Right now, I'm kinda in paydown mode with bills. So probably not, although I've been kicking around the idea of the 8.8 with 10 bolt tubes. I really don't want to do that, but cost wise that might be the best option, it's just that I'm really not too jazzed about the weld in torque arm mount. I know it works, as many people have done it... I'd just rather go about it a more traditional way.

My nitrous car is 136 in the quarter @9.83 with a 1.39 60'....
137 is kicking it! You'll probably find more to once you feel good about hitting it. Congrats!
What gear?
