ati d-1 set up on lt1

Default ati d-1 set up on lt1

i was wondering if anyone knew in a ball park guess of how much boost can you get out of a d-1 with a 2 core intercooler on a 355 ci lt1 ,it has a set of good flowing p&p heads and intake with dynatech race headers and 4in cat back,im wanting 20lbs without overspinning the blower ,is this possible,thanks mike

First off,you do have forged internals right? It all depends on the combination of compression,head flow ect.to see how much you need to spin the blower,20LBS is possible,I hit 19 lbs once on a LT1 but I dropped it back down to 14lbs since I did not build the motor to take on that kind of boost.If you are worried about overspinning that blower sell it and buy mine,I have a D-1R which is bigger than the F-1 and is capable of 32 lbs of boost.It will bolt up to all of your existing brackets.I am asking $1500.00

well,the d-1 says 32lbs also right?i have h-beam rods with weisco -11cc inverted dome piston,has a stock crank,i have the motor apart thiis minute getting splayed caps on it,the heads flow in at 287i/220e witha comp 230/236 598/608 on a 114ls,i had a 600 b and only 530rwhp 490rwtq on 9lbs,i have a fast ecu to install and a th350 trans,the compression is 9:1:1,i want to see 20psi,but what u want and what u get are not the same,what can i expect from this,info needed

You are right,I also started with the P600B and it did not do as says,You have a pretty good combo,Again boost is a demenure of all the byproducts,You should be able to hit 20lbs but it might be pushing that D-1.I am not saying this because I am trying to sell this one,But when I hit 20 lbs of boost it was near the max impeller speed.With the D-1R it pushed 25lbs nearing max impeller speed.The boost numbers they advertised is with basically stock heads,this is why they claim such high numbers,but with good flowing heads it takes more to make the boost....
