Default which head casting for destroked 6.0?

Starting a new 6.0 build using the 4.8 crank. 6.300 rods. Will be a turbo build in a chassis at or below 3k lbs. auto th400. With this build I would like to use a cam motion cam with the appropriate valve train to turn 8k. Track car mainly with ability to drive to the track.

Main goals of the build are
turn 8k
1000+ hp.
e85

With a setup of this nature which head casting has proven itself? I'm a fan of the ls3 heads, while many are not. With the 4.0+ bore I am leaning towards these but being destroked would any other casting fit the bill better 082 317 799s? The valve train is going to be upgraded springs rollers possibly valve sz/type if needed.

If you are at a 4.030+ bore, the TFS-255's begin to make sense if that's the way you're leaning anyway. There are more LS3 intakes coming out to suit your rpm range. As you stated, a heavy duty intake valve would be a good idea with appropriate springs. 6-bolt casting could be used if you ever decided to go with an LSX block etc. at some point.

have you seen the head comparison test that cane out? The texted various heads on a 5.3, both n/a and forced induction, and as hard as it is to believe, the 706/862 head made more power, by a good margin, than 317,799,241 etc.

Nice deal right there for 4bolt heads.

What intake choices are there for those?
