Whats the best plugs and gap for boost.

Well, it depends.
im sure this has been covered before, theres also recommendations on the sloppy mechanics wiki<---- it.
But i use NGK BR7s with out of the box gap (.028?) for lowish boost, like less than 15-16 on my setup. But theres other factors besides boost pressure that should factor in. For a mostly stock engine they will work good less than 18 psi IMO.

i use tr6's for low boost (~12psi) on pump **** 91 and 70/30 water-meth. never had a problem .028 gap.

switched to br7ef right at the end of the season when I upped the boost to 14psi, never got traction for a full pass tho.

I will probably get told I'm crazy for this, but I use TR6 with a .28 gap. I've had it as high as 22psi.

Chalk it up to the current craze of boosting high CR motors. I have to admit, though, I finally got peer pressured into using br7's.

I use 7's, ads some insurance, and with a good tune they burn fine, never fouled one, always look good-I gap them 28, but mostly street car, so I prefer a little wider gap.

I run nonprojected 7s. There is no downside only benefit to a slightly colder plug and as long as the tune is good you shouldn't foul them.

It would be nice to know the "real deal" with sparkplugs now. Since the advent of FI, there are no more worries about fouling a cold plug, so how do you determine if a plug is too cold? Too hot is simple, but where do you draw the line?
