So 1049 wheel at over 7k with a BTR stage 2, BTR intake, and a 6 speed.

Here is a 1194 wheel dyno pull on a T4 billet S476 at about the same boost at less than 7K RPM with a smaller cam and a stock gen 3 truck intake through an auto trans.

See why comparison data matters?

Mine came last month, but haven't had time to put it on yet. Turns out my "vacuum leak" was really a bad/old tank of gas causing high A/F ratio. So at least my FAST 92 isn't cracked.

Anybody have more results on this? Engine Masters did an episode on Blower Manifolds S4E46 where they tested different runner lengths that concluded the difference between them wasn't so great under boost.

Previous episode on Intercooler vs Water/Meth injection S4E45 was eye opening that it showed a big difference is cooling between cylinders when using water/meth into LS6 style intakes. Basically the rear cylinders got the most of it and the front ones didn't get much at all. Wonder how a short runner ram intake like the BTR does on cylinder distribution of fluid injection like water/meth or plate nitrous/fuel.

Here are some overlays that I said I'd post a few months ago. Lol

Smoothing is as low as it goes. Trying to show as plain/real numbers as possible. Remember the hi ram was also paired with a converter that was tighter. This is as close of a comparison as I can provide.

1000 hp pull on both graphs is the same pull with the BTR intake

The first sheet has a hi ram overlay on the same boost level (both seem to have maxed out the turbo as in both cases more boost made negligible power gains)

The second being the closest peak power made with the hi ram vs btr to show the curve differences. The pull with the hi ram was 22 psi vs 25 with the BTR manifold.

Surely it would make more sense to explain what colour is what ? Because I've no idea what you're showing.

Reads like blue is btr and green is hi ram...looks like the hi ram outshines the btr all over the place if I'm reading it right.

That makes no sense, as at the low end you'd expect the HiRam to shine far above the BTR. So on the top graph the green trace looks odd below 5.5k. Unless there is some reason for not operating below 5.5k ?

And TBH...I'd expect the HiRam to shine over the BTR above 5.5k too.

The lower graph may make sense if the lighter coloured trace is the HiRam

You sure are hard to please. Both times I've posted clear descriptions you have to question it.

I don't understand what was so difficult about the way it was explained

There is one line on each graph that is the same pull. That's the BTR intake. BLUE

GREEN is the hi ram on the same boost level

LIGHT BLUE is the hi ram on 3psi less boost FOR A CURVE COMPARISON

So the BTR is lousy essentially compared to the hi ram.

Which does seem expected. It's a pity as a lot of work did go into it

It just seems that it would take an exceptional combination...and very high rpm's for any short runner intake to really shine on an LS.

If anything, the 6-7" or so of the HiRam or maybe ProFlo or whatever the exact number is, is around the sweet spot for a normal high rpm motor, and the 10"+ of the factory types the sweet spot for everything under 7k.

To be fair, I was confused as well. Thanks for clearing it up. I sold my BTR intake to go to the Hi Ram. Unfortunately the setup is drastically different, so I won't have any comparisons.

If your going to run the btr intake with truck accessories you might want to skip threw my video, you will have to modify the alternator bracket, use a 07 later water pump,

Here were our results with the BTR Equalizer 3 intake on a n/a application. To be fair, the cam on this car (BTR LS3 Stage 4) peaks at around 6800rpm, so it wasnt the best setup for the E3 intake. However we were curious how it would do against a ported LS3 intake on your average cammed street car.

Our first test on this car with the ported LS3 inatek and 102mm tb,

you'd probably need to go to 8-8500rpm to see good gains

Agreed. Not many street cars spinning that high though. However, it does look killer under the hood.

Damn that sucks ***. That ls3 is hard to beat we all know that but to lose that much under 6500rpm is crazy for the amount of hype the btr gets.

The BTR does exactly as advertised. It was not designed for sub 6k power. You can tell that just by looking at it.
