Default BMR turbo k member and solid motor mount issue...

I set my driver side head on my short block and it's a nut hair from the firewall. I mean you might be able to slide a couple sheets of paper between the two. Anyone run into this? This is a 99 Trans am btw

I didn't have 'that' issue but my oil pan was sitting right on the cross bar of the BMR tubular K member. I had to just shelve that and use a stock K-member.

Bought new factory mounts same issue.... The shortblock sits crooked as well. Back of the motor is to the passenger side.

Ugh. I'm going to be pissed. My car is twin turbos and forward and up truck manis. I have about an 1/8 between my mani and the strut tower. This WILL NOT work in my car if it has absolutely any shift too the passenger side. How old is your K member? New I assume?

I just got the kmember straight. I had to loosen all the mounting bolts and shock mount bolts. (wheels off the ground of course) I put a bottle jack on the frame rail and engine block. I pumped it up until the motor was a little to the driver side (since I had the factory rubber motor mounts in i knew they were going to have some give in them). I also removed the driver side rear kmember bolt and that was the ticket. I was then able to get it all straight. I had to carbide bit that bolt hole quite a bit to be able to put the bolt back in.
