Wanted to hit the track today to see if I could get a 6.40 @115ish out of the car. Unfortunately, the track prep was sub par and just wouldn't hold, car went a 6.77 @111.91. Just for kicks I ran the car on the gate with the cutout closed, it made 7.9psi and ran 7.28 @99mph. The car is coming along, but just at a slower pace than most people around here, I just have too many other expensive pursuits in my life unfortunately so the car suffers. Wasn't long ago that it was a 6 speed car on true street tires, then came the 400... and after that a real tire. Now I'm just in need of the final piece, the rear end. It seems that until I can leave in boost, the car just isn't going to trap right... oh well. Im not a mustang guy, but that coyote motor is one to be feared. There was a turbo one in attendance today, it's a NT car (told me what it ran, as i don't run in that same circle), and I can assure you that it's faster than most stuff around here. The car is impressive.
It's looking good. Being able to leave under boost and with some RPMs will be awesome to see once you get to that point.

Yea, you know the car is hardcore when you hear people say things like "woah" "oh my god". What funny is, it was turned down considerably on this pass just so he could get down the track. He had it turned up on the first pass, but the car began incinerating the tires about 300ft out. Even with power taken out of it, he was still painting stripes through the finish line. Every now and then, you see one of those cars run down through there that make you curse under your breath (I'm trying to completely remove it from my vocabulary, but I occasionally slip) and seeing this car was one of those slips. I hope to be on his level some day.
