Default LSA/5.3 in OBS C1500

First a note to moderators: if this post is in the wrong place please move it. I debated between here and hybrids/conversions.

Ill keep this short but I can elaborate if needed or wanted.

What I want to do: install LSA blower on my 5.3 using my truck accessories and probably the Holley ls ac compressor bracket for R4 compressor. I would be using a 6rib belt and the Holley bracket uses a 2000 c5 Vette tensioner

Goal: 550rwhp or better in a truck I can drive 1000 miles or daily drive it without fear of the belt drive letting me down.

Question: Will I be shredding belts, slipping belts or shattering the tensioner?

Any advice or experience is welcomed and appreciated

Sounds like a cool project man. I have a turbocharged 6.0 in my OBS.... I love it.

I ended up using the LS a/c compressor and just notching the frame to fit it.

Don't know about the belt tensioner stuff since I'm turbo and not super but I don't see how it would be a problem. The LSA is a factory setup so prolly pretty bulletproof.

The engine is already in the truck so I don’t have much interest in frame notching. Mostly for the idea if pulling engine if an accessory fails....

as for the factory lsa setup I would consider it IF I had a way to do electric power steering... but I don’t

additionally if I invest too much in accessories turbocharging becomes far more cost effective to the point it can’t be ignored.

I had to pull my engine out many times when building it. It's just easier to mock up what you can and build that, then pull it again if necessary.

I don't have to pull the engine if the compressor fails, Just unbolt the compressor and pull it out.

I originally planned on using the R4 compressor. But the LS compressor is better anyways so that was my decision point.

I don't know about supercharging as I've never done that but I will say that I prefer turbocharging based upon what I know.

Supercharger will be instant boost but linear.

Turbocharger can have lag before boost (minimal to nonexistent if you pair your parts well) but the boost comes on exponentially, like a ******* avalanche.
