Blower cam for ls1.
Blower cam for ls1. Figured I'd ask before I made a decision. I got a deal on a ls1 shortblock so I'll be using that instead of the 5.3 I was planning on. I still plan on going with a torqstorm supercharger at around 10 psi. Head are undecided but probably some stockers may have a set of 5.3 heads laying around that I can use. The car is a 68 lemans and will be mostly street driven.
I'd like some opinions on what others are running for a blower cam. I have seen some in the classifieds and will probably go that route if I can find one when I'm ready to buy.
The most recent iv seen and is pretty common is the brute speed blower cam. Opinions?

LS-7/LS-9 OEM Camshaft Hi, your D/D requirement would state a LS-7 OEM Camshaft ($100.00) OR even better a OEM LS-9 Camshaft.
KEEP your small intake port heads, install some S/S Valves with LARGER EXHAUST Diameter if possible AND a set of PSI LS1511 ML springs on the INTAKES ONLY.
FIT a .041" MLS Head Gasket AND a set of the Heads studs I sell ???
I also have good prices on PSI Springs ???

Thanks for the reply. I thought about a ls9 cam but I dont think id see that great of gains over a off the shelf cam. I do plan on throwing in upgrades springs and pushrods to match the cam.
