It's awesome. A place I worked at switched to outsourcing all their aerospace coatings so I took home what I thought would last a lifetime. I use it for everything. It holds well over 400F and when it does fail it doesn't leave much residue. I could have literally filled my truck bed with it, but I only took a box. Using the last of it currently
I use this exact same tape for tapping stuff off when I powder coat and also as insulation for the fets on a circuit board when mounted to a heat sink. Good stuff.

Does anyone have ideas on back purging cheaply, I don't have access to two tanks?

I'm less of a fabricator and more of a shade tree enthusiast! But I hate squaring pipes or messing with "finishing" edges. Mig weld my stuff from steel on the garage floor in 5-6 hours. I use a chop saw mainly and then use an exhaust tubing expander on one end so the pipe slip fits. Sure it's not as pretty and theirs going to be some slight flow turbulence... but man is it easy! Header wrap fixes the ugly quick, and I can live with the .5 HP loss from the imperfect slip fit joints.

Impact gun on this sucker for a few seconds makes short work of it.

ummm... add the tee with the second regulator, weld your stuff up, then return the tank back to the way it was? How do you expect to set up a back purge setup if you can't change the current setup? I would suggest Solar Flux if I thought it worked good, but it's not great. Back purging is much better.

Where do you get decent quality ones? I tried the "large" one from Harbor Freight on some 2.5" pipe. I used my impact on it once and it immediately ruined the expander. I returned it.

Was your impact turned up too high? I have a HF “earthquake” gun set on "3" at 90psi and a ½” hose. Mine are a super old Matco set. I inherited from my grandfather, I’d bet it’s 60+ years old. Expanded a ton of pipe with it, never a hiccup. If it’s steel and 16 gauge or thinner it shouldn’t be a problem with a decent quality tool. Might even be able to rent them from a parts store? You can also heat up the end of the pipe if it’s giving you trouble

Old Matco...ah, that answers it. The impact is an Ingersoll Rand, and it's fairly powerful. I turned up until it was able to expand the pipe, but that was also enough torque to ruin the expander. Just read the reviews on the HF site, looks like lots of people had the same experience. Guess I should've read up before buying. At least I got my money back.

I’ve rented those expanders from AutoZone. Worked well for me.

I've used methods mentioned above, as well as flexible exhaust pipe for bends and paper towel tubes for pipe merge templates
