I have a 2001 Trans AM and I'm looking to run the dual intercooler setup from procharger. Currently I have a NW 102mm TB with a SD tune. I'm looking to see the cleanest way to get from that junction box to my TB. Anyone got pics of how they have done it?
This is what I made to get the Procharger Plenum to a stock TB when I was running the dual cooler set up. I always hated the dual cooler and plenum set up. Too many pipes and the angle between the TB and Plenum is tight to work with. If you haven't bought the setup yet i would recommend going front mount cooler, its so much cleaner of a setup.
Yeah, i got this setup so i didnt have to cut up the front of my Trans AM. I have a Lq9 408 with LS3 top end and FAST 102 intake with a NW 102 TB. I think from the looks of your picture my setup sits closer to flush than yours did. I'm also trying to retain my AC being in TX. I've heard a lot of horror stories about a FMIC with AC and cooling.
I have the FMIC an no problems with AC or cooling. I did upgrade my fan though. I think some of the cooling problems is when they remove the air dam that sits in there. Not allowing forced air up to the condenser an radiator. I chose the FMIC because I liked less connections to come loose an cleaner engine bay. But you do have to cut some things up.
