Changed my wastegate spring to 14psi...
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when the new differential arrived. I went thru the mandatory gentle break-in of 500 miles, changed the fluid and was ready to go this morning. Kinda forgot to turn the Boost Tee down to the bottom to start re-calibration for the new 14psi spring. I took the car out to a deserted stretch and let her stretch just a little in 3rd gear to 10psi. Went the to end of the road, turned around and, keeping her in 1st, somewhat aggressively pressed the gas pedal, wound her out and shifted to 2nd. The 315 M/T Drag radials were spinning in protest and it felt good but then it stumbled a bit. I got out of it immediately, looked at all my gauges. Everything looked normal there. So then I pressed the 'history' button on my AEM TruBoost to see what she had attained.
Yikes.... Good thing my 3 bar SD tune is fat in those areas of the VE tables.
Turned the boost controller all the way down and will start retuning this week.
Now, I ALWAYS test my springs/gates/boost controller with my air compressor before hand.

I hook one side up to my air compressor, the other side goes to either the wastegate or boost controller line. Slowly crank the pressure up until the wastegate is open and then check the PSI on the gauge.
Works great for checking wastegate springs, boost controllers, looking for leaks, etc.
Just don't pressure your whole vacuum block. I have a habit of doing that and kicking on a hobbs switch, and filling my intercooler with methanol.

holy crap!
