4.125 stroke in an LSX
Hey guys.
i know this is more of a internal engine thing but im going twin turbo so here goes. I have the chance to buy a dragonslayer 4.125, callies ultra rods, diamond pistons, 441 rotating assembly to put in my LSX for pretty cheap from a friend who is going bbc in his camaro instead of finishing his ls build. Right now im stock lsx 376 pistons, eagle rods and k1 crank so this would be an upgrade in strengrh for sure. Ive searched around and cant really find any dead nuts answer. Is the 4.125 to long for boost in the LSX short deck.ive found some say its ok, some say hell no. What do you think.

Thats the stroke I have in my 442 LS7 but it is NA. If your boosted, run shorter stroke, smaller bore, and crank it up.
Others may disagree, but I would take a smaller bore (thicker cylinder walls AND hoop stress decreases exponentially with decreasing bore diameter, under the same cylinder pressure), and a shorter stroke operating at higher boost pressure than the opposite scario.... given the BHP were the same out of each. (hope that made sense)
