2000 SS D1sc
Lots changed in the last decade. I was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on my build.
What i really need help with is cooling and fueling(right now). So much has changed,
-Is there a new radiator and fan setup thats smaller and works as good? Or am i stuck with the stock one for a DD?
-Back in the day basically everyone used a walbro 255 for anything under 600rwhp. Im going to try for 500-550. just stick a 255 in the bucket?
-Currently the car has a SD tune. I hear that the new MAFs are fine -for boost? The LS7 MAF?

Its a built motor with stock dual spring heads.
the Aster procharger mount and waterpump.
The D1SC is going to be rebuilt by procharger.
New breaks and wheels
AC deleted.
Ebay 3inch intercooler.
big red bypass
4200 feet in the mountains.

Walbro 255 will do 500w, but starts to struggle above that on a boosted car with honest wheel hp. Walbro 340 or 450 gives you room to grow.
Ls7 maf or speed density with a 2 bar map sensor.
The comment about growing up cracked cracked me up. I did exactly what you did. I’m not sure what pulley you plan on using, but your power goals seem very easy to attain. Good luck feel free to pm me if you have any questions. I literally just finished my D1SC build and I’m at 900/900 now.
