Default Non OEM LS9 gaskets ?

Anyone any comments on usage or quality ?

Rather annoyed to have recently received a pair of LS9 gaskets from a well known supplier.. Purchased with the expectation they would be genuine GM items....although on arrival they are Elring.
They are made in Germany, and I know Elring are a genuine OEM supplier...so maybe they are actually genuine LS9 gaskets. Anyone else any thoughts ?

Elring 180614 0754, 475.625 BTR LS9 gasket

Been a few years since I put mine on so cant say for sure but I do know the 3 bar ls9 sensor is made in Germany as well so could be some truth to it.

Visually they do appear the same, those part numbers are in similar places to GM, although the stamped number tag is there, there is no numbers stamped onto it as there would be with GM.

They probably are fine...just not what I was expecting.

Although with that part number....I've found a European supplier that will cost a lot less than importing from the US.

I’ve bought 4 sets in the past 2 years. They all were identical to those. Made in Germany.

The Elringklinger gasket layers that we used to sometimes make a few hundred thousand of in Lake City Georgia do not have a name or country stamped on them yet. I wonder if they do that during assembly? Then again, we mostly did 5.3l and 6.2l gasket layers. I always thought it was funny the circuitous route some of the parts go through to get to the final buyer. We sometimes make parts that go through 3 other companies before getting to GM or BMW, or whoever.

All the LS9 gaskets I've bought have been made in Germany.

I think I recall earlier LS1/2 gaskets being made in Mexico ?

Based on the stamping dies I have seen, I think ERK makes all the GM mls v8 gaskets. They have facilities in multiple countries, so who knows where final assembly takes place? They are, however based in Germany. We only stamp parts for them when one of their presses is out of service.

Malhe/Clevite LS9 gaskets use to come with GM part numbers, now they don't. They still say made in Germany. I bet these are the same.

They make the GM ls9 head gaskets.
Mahle/victor reinz never made them. they bought them from ehlring/erling just like gm does

Mahle did make some of the other mls though. its now split up into victor reinz and mahle with 2 completely separate gasket styles and setups and part numbers.
