Default 12 to 1 compression, boost and small cam

In a goal to make my exocet as responsive and torquey off boost as possible for auto cross but still make near 700hp for street I had some 12:1 pistons made. I know I have to run race gas or good E85 but I am wondering if I am going too small on my cam. I wanted to move down to a 220 228 580 lift 114lsa that I have. What will my revs be before it bottlenecks. I'm thinking it may be too small.

Revs are very dependent on heads, intake, valvetrain, camshaft, exhaust/turbine flow

And you dont mention any target rpm range....nor even engine type or size

So what may be too small ?

12:1 and boost?

if you plan on running any decent amount of boost good luck holding the heads down.

12:1 and boost is m1 fuel area.

bottle neck with that cam will depend very much on what form of power adder you use, how much boost and what exhaust/manifolds you have and what cubes.

Yeah I should have given more info but was in a hurry...LS2 with billet 7575. I have 243 heads. I am more then happy with power up top currently and was only trying to make more low end. Vehicle only weights 1900 and I made 683hp before.

what size manifolds. both cross over and primaries?

that cam will be fine with that turbo. the turbine will choke before the cam restricts you.

12:1 though, I still think you're crazy. I reckon it'll push the heads off with 15psi

I am not the first to build a high comp boosted motor and will probably not be the last. It's a short runner sheet metal intake. I will see if I can find specs.

At your car weight loads the engine a lot less so there is built in forgiveness. I’d have run a little more cam but I’ve never had anything that light besides a Spitzer 225” RED. I think you will be fine and you can always reduce the boost a little since you are already in crazy power to weight territory anyway for traction
