i doubt it. I seen your paint work. with tig everything slows down a bit so you can concentrate on heat input and travel speed more easily.

with mig there's a pretty narrow range of acceptable travels speeds and torch angles for a given welding current. it either works or it don't and you have to change the settings

finally got a major blockage out of the way and installed the anti-roll bar

you can see the beginnings of a fuel system if you squint really hard lol

also I've been looking for wide 6-lug steelies for my '66 c10 for years and finally found a set so I know what project i'm jumping on next.
air ride, steelies & whitewalls, small turbo, manual trans parts hauler

yeah everyone on the fab forums was 50-50 on it needing a gusset

it really shouldnt see any side load at all, just torsional load

but I'm gonna have a go pro and lights under there while tuning the suspension so we'll see what it does

Doug,

You don't have to get fancy. I would just box in the mounts with two simple plates on the front and on the back.

i though so just never seen one on a downpipe before....do you just adjust the amount open to adjust noise or will it route through a muffler when closed?

for being considerate of your neighbors (i must be getting old)

yeah it'll go through a couple cheap mufflers and dump in front of the rear tire. I did something similar on my blue squarebody and it was great...I could get my wife to ride with me occasionally

i have many karmas to repay in regard to noise pollution....straight piped rx7 at one point in my youth lol

I hear ya on the noise pollution My poor neighbors endured my teens while hearing my 70 Nova SBC at 8000rpms and open headers banging through the gears with 4.88s. Their poor ears and heart shock!

Is that an aluminum driveshaft from a truck? My buddy has one from a 4l60 truck.
And what Yoke did you use?

I impulse bought an 84 Cutlass so this thread went from cool fab to a perfect example.
