Forget the HD2, I'll make you a smoking deal on a D1 brake.

forgive my ignorance, but i don't know what that is! i've never used a transbrake, just footbraking it. I know there is one type that requires you to manually shift through the gears....sad to admit i let the computer do the rowing

finally got some maypops on these rally reps i picked up. I think I can fit a 275/60r15 in there. hopefully I'll find a set of hwy patrol caps or '52 caps for inexpensive at the swap meet

i'm also gonna need to find some springs for the back...looks like the stockers were replaced with some stinkbug action haha

Is it worth the hassle of grinding all the under coat off and adding extensions and maybe some stiffening plates?
If you want to easily get the correct instant center dialed in then the answer is yes.

After your purchase of this G body, I propose that you change your name to "GDOUG".

Haha! The whole point of having a 80e, is letting the computer shift. With a D1 the shifter has to be in 1st for the Tb to work. Then bump it to 3rd after letting off the button for auto shifts.

Level the car out and measure. You don’t want the bars farther apart going forward. You’ll need to see where the instant center ends up. Spend money on Viking DA shocks. You’ll be way ahead.

ok gotcha. stage in low, with transbrake on, bump the lights, on launch release the TB and then bump the shifter to D3? i'd need to work out a way to lock out 4th gear on the column shifter. lemme get it swapped and running off the footbrake first. I still havent even chosen what to use for boost control yet

Get the car to sit the way you want before setting up any suspension. Should be done last. Most either raise the rear of the upper bar or lower the front of the same bar. So with that in mind, it wouldn’t hurt to put an extension with one or two holes lower on the upper bar front bracket.
