Default Thoughts on a budget lsa/ls1 build

So. I am contiplating a top end build on my 02 trans am. The car has around 64,000 miles on it and is a 6-speed(converted) with 373s and long tubes. I have 2 sets of 243 heads from 5.3 trucks. My thoughts are a lsa kit from boost direct cnc ported 243 heads and a ls9 cam with a good tune. This is a budget build so nothing radical and no crazy boost numbers. This isn`t a race car. Just a fun car. Any ideas or thoughts. Maybe a realistic power output. Any other thought.

Being a stock bottom end ls1 I would think 550 whp would be a nice and pretty safe street setup. Will an LSA fit under the cowl?

550-600 On a stock bottom end. You will have to run an adapter plate as well for the blower to mount to the heads.

I agree, 550whp should be your goal. Stock Bottom, 243 heads, ls9 Cam, LSA blower. all supporting fuel and mods. I would consider the size of the LSA blower though, they are pretty big and dont fit under a lot of stock hoods once you add the adapter plates for the LS1. Otherwise should be a powerful motor once built.
