Question regarding intercooler piping
i know i might be over thinking it but i am in the point in my build to start doing the intercooler piping for my front mount. and here is the problem, or question that i have.
i have a 102mm intake throttle body which is roughly 4in, and my intercooler outlets are both 3in and my turbo which is a 7875 cast i believe its a 2.5 outlet if im correct.. Now i have heard of "choking" the engine or which ever.
MY plans was to do from the TB a 4in to 3in coupler and from there 3in piping to the intercooler then from the other outlet of the intercooler do a 3in pipe to the turbo but at the turbo do a 3in to 2.5in coupler.
now my friend was saying about the choking and what not, to do a 4in to 3.5 to 3.0 then 3.0 to 3.5 to 2.5.....which i think its pointless....
just wanted to hear your thoughts?.
