Got hot & ran better ?
Specs in sig.
Note: IAT’s were 95* - 98*. A few degrees higher than what I see normally but this was an exeptionally hot day. Fighting heat saturation & ambient temps.
Had something interesting happen today.
While cruising around town, stop & go in 86* + weather, one of my four coolant fans lost power. I saw my temps start to rise from the typical 192* climbing slowly to 210 - 215*. Strange thing is: my drivability improved. Everything was smoother in parking lot type driving & low rpm cruising etc.
Im starting to wonder:
- if I should let this beast run a hotter ?
- plugs too cold ? NGK7
- what are you guys seeing for temps after all is heat saturated & cruising around.
Sometimes the thought of “cooler is better” can backfire.
I appreciate any insight.
