Default ls2 dbw throttle body overheating

I have a single turbo 72 chevelle, I'm not sure if this is the right thread to ask this. Has anyone ever had issues with a ls2 dbw throttle body. For example after you drive it for a while then park and you come back its throwing a p1220 and going into limp mode. I'm almost positive that it is heat soaking my tps and if I open the hood and cool off the tps on the throttle body I can clear the code and it drives normal. It only seems to do it when it sits parked and the under hood heat just hangs out. I'm pretty sure I have ruined that throttle body but if i purchase a new one I don't want to ruin it as well.

The car has inner fenders so I have been thinking about removing them to let some heat escape, and possibly adding vents in the hood to allow addition heat release.

Thanks for any info. Brian
