Little Bit Of Tuning Help Needed :( Hey guys.
I have a 5.7 ltr, has cam, springs, lifters, rod bolts etc. i have a vortech v2 charger and have a few questions im unsure of in relation to tuning.
1. AFR coasting and general driving im aiming at around 13.5-14? on WOT aiming down to 11-11.5?
2. Spark all reasonably normal, WOT i was planning on starting at 10 Degrees and slowly going up until i find knock retard then back it off 2-4 degrees?
ill try to work out how to attach the log file (10km drive home today) and the tune file if i can.
P.S. i havent put too much work into these so far... Was a start up tune

Your plan seems in line to what everything should be. I find knock retard and bump it down 1-2 degrees. 4 would be too much. Make sure you turn your LTFT off permanently. I've been fighting tune issues because I had mine on all along. It would learn itself wrong (2 bar map does not have as much resolution as a stock map) and when the LTFT learned wrong temporarily, it would wildly throw off my AFR in boost which can be disastrous. You can do what you want, listen to who you want....because theres always going to be someone that will disagree with me, but the popular answer is to turn them off especially with a boosted engine. Since turning mine off, my engine and AFR has been much happier and more stable.
My preference is to run leaner at idle and cruise. On a cold start I idle in the low 15’s before settling in around 14.7 when it gets up to temp. Idle and part throttle I shoot for 14.7, but on the highway with cruise control set I’m at 15 to 1 AFR on the gas scale running ethanol. 11 to 11.5 in boost though. I don’t ever purposely hit knock. I read plugs and look at the timing mark between that and mph at the drag strip is how I set timing.
