Default LT1 Hotside Redo

No not the new one, and no not the old one, just that lame Gen 2 Opti scorned LT1

Wanted to redo my hotside for awhile, friend introduced me to Aces race parts, and said if I get parts he will weld it.... and away we go.

Started with some boredom at work

Finally tucked up higher than my K member, old kit hung way to low

We fit a 4in pipe for downpipe

Next up is getting the wastegate plumbed in and then yanking it all off to weld up 100% then wrap it.

And full kit off the car ready for final weld

Looks good. I think the wastegate placement is clever. It meets the requirement of having the correct angle off the parent pipe. On the downpipes enlargement immediately past the turbine housing, I'd thought about doing that too. Where did you find the transition?
