Default Advice please, non LS.

Alright so we had a manifold made for the wife's car. Waited a bit for it but her car is not popular. Anyways, the manifold is nice, only one problem, the wastegate pipe is to close to the primary. It's not a big deal, I could send it back the dudes pretty cool. Is there a fix I could have done instead of shipping it across country? It needs to be moved very little. I thought cut and rotate or heat and bend. Idk. I wont be doing the work myself, I'd take it somewhere but I'd like suggestions. The material is THICK. Maybe what I want is some comfort, everything will be ok lol. Again, I bet there is less than a handful that's been made so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. The wastegate in the pics is not what we're using. We have a Tial that is so close to fitting, so close.

yeah send it back and have him move that gate a bit. a primary that close to the dome will roast the diaphragm. i'd suggest a 3/4" air gap at minimum for a drag type car

I'm thinking it would be quicker and easier if I took it to a machine shop local. Do you think they would cut it, reposition and weld it? If I had to sink another $100 or so I'd be ok with that.

That would be really simple.... cut it at the weld, clean it up, rotate and re-weld.... if your close to SW PA I’d do it for a beer lol

Man it would probably cost ya the same either way. Paying someone local to fix or ship it back. If your in a hurry, have it done local. But if your not in a hurry and happy with your guys work, send it back for a small rework.

Thats just one more reason I like JGS gates. No diaphragm to tear... nice form factor.
