Air filter size and restriction I have a 78/75 on a 5.3, stage 3 summit cam but I put the turbo to close to the rad support to really fit a decent sized filter. This last year I ran a K&N that was about 5-6" tall tapered with the 5" inlet flange. I actually had to crush the nose of it in a some to get it to not rub on one of the cold side pipes.
How restricted am I making the setup running this filter? If I go to the track I can run a turbo screen but there is dust to some degree pretty much everywhere else its driven. Think paved country roads. I might be able to get a rubber 90 on it and get a larger filter if i relocate the coolant res. Maybe fab up and air box if this one is really putting the damper on things. Charts for the filters say I should have about 3X the filter size for the HP goal but I'm not sure it matters as much with boosted engine. The real fix would be to cut and change the hot side to move it back a couple inches but that's not really on the table right now with the added pain in the *** of getting parts right now. I'm working with what I got on hand from left overs and scraps.

I have been running the HKS clone that I got with my CX racing kit bc I have ZERO room in front of my turbo. I run the billet gen 1 VS 78/75 and it spoils just fine with the foam mushroom on it. Sure it’s not the greatest filter with great filtration but it keeps the big **** out of the turbo and motor lol.
I looked into a cobra elbow but don’t have really that much room below it for a larger cone style filter.
