Turbo oiling question (not a typical one)

sorry if this sounds stupid. i tried googling but keywords brought up all sorts of crap.

so im coming to a pint in my build where im just waiting for my buddy to build my turbo kit. i made a little mount for the turbo so it can show him where i want it any everything. feed and drains are ran. ive fired the car up but had the feed line in the oil filler cap. basically there is no exhaust hooked up to the turbo, just feed and drain.

would it cause any issues to the turbo having the feed hooked up and firing up the engine?

To be clear....you're asking would there be any issue, running the turbo with an oil feed connected to it ?

There would certainly be an issue if you didn't have an oil feed connected to it.

no i was asking if there would be any issues running oil through the turbo without having exhaust hooked up to it.
